CAMP COUNSELORS

Spend the summer impacting lives!

We are looking for detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and attentive counselors to lead, support, and motivate participants during our Camp BizLIFE summer intensives.

The counselors will help lead group discussions, monitor participants and respond to incidents, log events and maintain records relating to activities, provide participant overviews and assessments to camp leadership. Counselors will be positive, proactive, and focused on maximizing the experience for attendees.

The ideal counselor will be upbeat, decisive, and responsible. He/she will also be organized, neat and possess strong leadership skills.

Counselors are compensated with a base salary plus room and board for the duration of camp.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Oversees the daily operations of your assigned “houses.”
• Greets & conducts orientation for participants upon arrival.
• Enforces camp rules and regulations and ensures safety in the facilities.
• Performs first aid following prescribed procedures and contacts emergency medical personnel when required by the situation.
• Reports participant concerns to leadership and works to resolve issues.
• Performs other related duties as required.

 Required Skills/Abilities:

• Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to learn and enforce the safety and operating rules.
• Must attend orientation & weekly staff meetings.

 Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass reference checks and background screenings, which include fingerprint check and sex offender registry check.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to participate in games, sports, and physical activities including water-based games and activities.
• Able to maintain attention and a high level of energy or excitement for extended periods of time.
• Able to move equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs to various locations across campus.
